Sahra-Josephine Hjorth

CEO and Co-Founder, CanopyLAB

Sahra-Josephine Hjorth is the CEO and co-founder of CanopyLAB, which uses machine learning and AI to enable completely personalized and adaptive learning experiences; empowering people to change their life situation through high-quality education. She is a PhD Fellow at Aalborg University and the Danish Immigration Museum, where she researches the use and impact of social media and online networks. Her research focuses on how emerging technologies and particularly digital learning can empower refugees and migrants to find employment, fight wage dumping, crowdsource vetting of employers, and get a formal education.

She has worked as a management consultant in Public Policy at Rambøll Management, as well as a senior editor at the political magazine RÆSON. As an entrepreneur, Sahra-Josephine is focusing on disrupting the eLearning industry.
Sahra-Jopsephine completed her IB at the United World College in New Mexico, and studied International Relations at the American University in Washington, D.C. She received her MA in Culture, Communication and Globalization at Aalborg University.
