Raffaele Miniaci is professor of economics at University of Brescia and president of “Socialis – Research Centre on Cooperatives, Social Enterprises and Non Profit Organizations”. His research focuses on the empirical quantitative microeconomic analysis. In particular, he has studied the relation between ageing, household consumption and labour supply; the link between risk and time preferences of the households, their expectations for the future and how they allocate their wealth; the role of social preferences in uncertain contexts; and the impact of competition, taxation and governance types on corporate finance. His papers have been published in the American Economic Review, Energy Policy, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Human Resources, Review of Economics and Statistics and other peer-reviewed journals. He has acted as external consultant for OECD, World Bank, and the Italian Authority for Energy Markets on issues related to households welfare and ageing.
